Whole30 – Day 5

Whole30 Day 4 Recap

Whole30 Weekends are usually rough for me since that is when my days are less structured and we go out more.  However yesterday went pretty darn good.  I got some MUCH needed relaxation time to myself.  Good thing I got that when I did because my kiddo did not sleep well last night and I am all sorts of tired this morning.  I took the middle of the night duty (which felt like I was literally up all night).  My husband took morning duty and let me sleep in a bit. but it wasn’t enough to make me feel like a human again.

Breakfast:

I finally dragged myself out of bed and made my husband and son some paleo pancakes while I ate the same old scrambled eggs and carrots.  OK, so I said I could eat this everyday in a recent post.  I lied.  I am SO sick of scrambled eggs now.  I think I’m going to switch it up to Sausage and veggies.

Lunch:

I just had some of the leftover roasted chicken dipped in a mixture of Tessemae Buffalo Sauce and Primal Mayo and a Larabar… both of which I shared with my son.

Dinner:

My husband was really busy and when he finally came up for air he wanted to grab something to eat since I STILL don’t have anything prepped in my fridge.  We went to our local Glory Days.  I got the Cedar Plank Salmon with veggies and red potatoes.  Once again, I’m sure some non-compliant oil or butter might’ve been used but I asked for only olive oil.

Snack:

I stopped at Starbucks on my way to the gym because I was freezing cold and wanted some hot tea.  I also grabbed one of those protein bistro boxes.  I ate the egg and fruit and gave the cheese to my son and the muffin and peanut butter to my husband.

Workout:

When I got pregnant, my Crossfit gym hired a weightlifting coach.  Unfortunately I didn’t get the benefit of his expertise since I wasn’t doing much weightlifting by the time he started.  He made a HUGE difference in the technique and loads for a lot of our athletes.  One of our other coaches participates in Weightlifting competitions and she has really solid technique.  She was sweet enough to offer to help me on our off time so I could catch up to everyone else!  So we worked on my Snatch technique at open gym.  Get your mind out of the gutter, Snatch is an olympic lift;)
