Whole30 – Day 11

Today was a rough day for doing Whole30.  First, I went to visit one of my favorite people who I hadn’t seen in a long time.  I grabbed breakfast at my favorite local coffee shop.  They are the only one close to me that has compliant almond milk lattes and they also have clean breakfast options.  Nothing is added to the eggs.  This place has a play area for kids and it kept my son entertained after he ate so I could relax and enjoy my latte.  Then we went and met, Catherine!  She lives in a fun little artsy city area.  We walked to the old town area and found this adorable farm to table cafe.  Unfortunately the Whole30 options there were limited so I ended up getting a 2 egg omelet with chicken and onions and a salad with fruit on the side.  I feel like I ate lots of eggs on Day 11. 

Then I went to a fundraiser that one of my best friend’s was supporting.  I walked in the room and there was cheesecake already sitting out on every table!!!!  This was definitely a trial of my will power.  I’m pretty sure I just stared at the cheesecake the entire time.  I stayed strong though!  We had unsweetened tea with a salad and then chicken, roasted potatoes and green beans.  My husband ate my slice of cheesecake and he gave me his unsweetened tea (I was so thirsty for some reason). 

My best friend is the funniest person I know and he was part of the team providing the entertainment that night.  There was one skit they did on stage that involved pre-selected “volunteers”.  I happened to be one of those “volunteers”.  I had to go up on stage in front of EVERYONE!  I was so nervous and think I almost fell off the stage a few times, but in the end it was a blast.
