Whole30 – Day 10

Whoop, whoop!  One third of the way there!  TGIF!  Today I will be attempting Crossfit Open WOD 16.3, which means it’ll be a short easy workout for me since I don’t have a bar muscle up yet. 

Breakfast:

Still sick of eggs… so shredded chicken it is.  The shredded chicken is so easy.  I just sprinkle garlic, salt, pepper and onion powder over 2.5 lbs of chicken breast.  I place them in the slow cooker and add about a 1/2 cup of my homemade chicken broth (separate post coming soon).  I then let it cook on low for 4 hours.  This chicken last my husband and I all week and it’s extremely versatile.  You can put it on top of a salad, mix it with mayo and make chicken salad, blend it up and transform it into nuggets (recipe coming soon), or eat it as is… like I’m doing.

Lunch:

I finally ran out of pre-roasted veggies… so one of my sons applesauce packages saved the day.

Dinner:

Our box hosts a “Friday Nights Lights” each Friday during the open so all of the athletes can come and do the workout with judges in heats.  It’s a lot of fun.  After the workout, a bunch of us went out to grab dinner.  They decided to go to Moe’s:(.  So I did the best I could.  I got a salad with steak (I’m sure the steak is cooked in an un-compliant oil, but I didn’t have time to do my research, sigh).  I added guac and tomato salsa on top.

Workout:

Yeah… so about this workout.  It was pretty pathetic.  I did 10 Power Snatches at 55 lbs, which was pretty light for me.  I attempted one or two muscle ups and then decided I didn’t want to waste a good workout staring at the bar for 6 more minutes, so I just did chest to bar pulls up and snatches until time was up.  My official score was 10:(.  I definitely know one thing I need to work on.
